Unfortunate start to the 2022 Formula SimRacing World Championship

An unfortunate end to an action packed weekend, and start to the Formula SimRacing World Championship 2022.

Michi Hoyer qualified in 6th place ahead of the 63 laps of racing around Imola. Robin Pansar put his car in 13th position with Damian Skowron and Tom Oldenmenger in 16th & 17th.

Our german driver was in some tough battles throughout the entire race, but couldn’t repeat last year’s victory and crossed the finish line at the same place where he started in sixth place.

After missing the last two races of the 2021 season, Robin was back, and with a solid drive, he climbed four places to finish in 9th.
Tom and Damian both made their full-time debut in the world championship division.
Our dutchman had a very solid race to finish in the top 10, just behind Robin.

Damian was hit by bad luck and struggled to get through the field which ended with him finishing in 16th.

All in all, not the opening race we hoped for, but we keep our heads and spirit, so we are ready to bounce back on the 13th of March for round two.
