A phenomenal lap by Jernej Simončič secured ByKOLLES-Burst Esport pole position ahead of the third round of the Le Mans Virtual Series.
The 8 Hours of the Nordschleife started off with Jesper Pedersen in the FLOYD ByKOLLES-Burst car leading the field across the starting line, and despite losing the lead, he regained it with a great move into turn one of the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit.
From there on, it was a dominating performance which reconfirmed our strength from qualifying. The Alpha Industries ByKOLLES-Burst car with Michi Hoyer taking the first stint duty, started from seventh but got up to fourth after some solid driving.
The race was cut short close to the halfway mark, due to a technical issue. Despite leading the majority of the race, our pole-sitter has been classified in second place due to being unlucky with pit stops when the server crashed, the #4 already had a demanding lead. The #444 car ended up in sixth place instead of fourth place, due to the regulations in which we fully respect. We just got unlucky, when the server crashed.
This means we drop to second in the standings, but only just.
We keep our head down and will return even stronger for the penultimate round which is the Sebring 500 on December 18th.
