NEO Endurance 24h series – A solid and bumpy race at Sebring

After a hectic start to the 2020/21 season of the NEO Endurance 24h series, Anders Dahl and Evan Marion was back behind the wheel of our Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car for the Mahle 6 hours of Sebring.

The dane qualified the Burst Esport car in 5th before making a brilliant overtake around the outside into turn one which is one of the bumpiest places on the track, to take P4. Anders wasted no time and quickly get up into the top three, but just a few corners later, the car behind misjudged his braking point and send Anders into the barrier. Luckily, the damage was minimal and he quickly caught back up the lost time.

From there the race went decently smooth and Evan took over before Anders went back in the car to finish the race. Disaster almost stroke during Evan’s stints when he suddenly lost all force feedback going down the first back straight. With stunning car control and skill, he avoided the cars around him and helped the track owners cutting the grass before rejoining the track. It cost us 7 to 8 seconds, but with Evan and Anders’ great pace, they recovered brilliantly to finish third at Sebring.

With that result, they are sitting in a shared third place in the standings after just two rounds. See if they can keep up the momentum and take it a step further on the 10th of January for the 6 hours of Silverstone.
