The Esport Racing League(ERL) by VCO Esports held its second round of the Spring Cup around the dunes of Zandvoort.
Michi Hoyer, Jernej Simoncic, and Kazuki Oomishima represented the Burst Esport colors in what turned out to be a very exciting, and thrilling evening of racing!
Their first outing, was in the third heat, and there, Jernej and Michi showed their class to take a 1-2 finish and Kazuki finished P16, to get us into the quarter finals.
Kazuki was hit by a thunderstruck of bad luck, by getting hit in a big crash where he had nowhere to go. The damage to his car forced him to retire from the race. Michi and Jernej managed to escape that incident and were running in fifth and sixth position, from start to finish and that gave us a place in the semi finals!
Here the trio once again showed why they are multiple champions on rFactor 2 with Jernej taking third place, Michi sixth, and Kazuki fourteenth. This result, along with the previous races secured us a spot in the final against Team Redline.
Here we gave it all we had, and at the end of race 2, we were immensely close to getting the battle to a third race. But this time we had to settle for second place for the second round of the Spring Cup.

“A very successful but stressful event for us. We are very happy about making it into the final and finishing 2nd. This result is very important for the overall league result as this will raise our chances for making it into the big masters in the finale and not into the relegation.”
